I have long been a fan of this particular company, especially for it's very warming small shop atmosphere. Wheelcraft at Clachan of Campsie are by far the finest Wheel Builders in Scotland. I had both of my wheels for my mountain bike built by Big Al at Wheelcraft. This was over 4 years ago. Since then, I have broken my rear axle from far too many heavy drops and knocks. But the wheel itself, is as true as the day it left the shop. OK, all this must come at a price, nobody builds the best wheels in Scotland and doesn't make extorsionate profits from it, surely? Wrong! The prices are very reasonable, and there's always a pot of his famous coffee waiting for the riders. Hell, one time when I rode 20 miles there, he even gave me some spaghetti on toast, and didn't charge a penny for it. This is really good service at a really good price. I honestly don't know how to big this up any more. The finest mountain / road bike wheels in Scotland are built by Big Al et al at Wheelcraft at Clachan of Campsie.
